Frequently Asked Questions!

Here are some questions we are frequently asked with some new additions!

How do I place an order?

Once you have chosen the products you wish to order simply click on ‘BUY’. Go to ‘Your Basket/Checkout’ to view or amend all the items and quantities you are buying. If you are a new customer you will be required to register an account with Jersey Plants Direct. Existing customers simply need to enter their email address and password to continue your order. During checkout you will be asked to provide a delivery name and address. Once you have entered your payment details you will acquire a confirmation receipt from us displaying your order number. It is recommended that you print this page and keep it for future reference.

I have a magazine catalogue, how do I find the products and order online?

It is very easy to find the products you are looking for on our website. Simply use the ‘Quick Search’ at the top of the homepage and enter the product code you see in the magazine.  You will be directed to that product page.

I want something for my garden but not sure what I’m looking for?

If you are unsure what to plant in your garden take a look at our ‘plant finder’ to help you choose the perfect plant for you. You can search plants by colour, type, ideal conditions, season, flowering and plenty more! Whether you are just looking for trailing plants or scented plants, we will show you only these plants you want.

What can I do if I will be away during my order’s despatch period?

Contact our customer service team and they will be happy to change your delivery date for you. Unfortunately we cannot arrange for your order to be delivered before a certain time, but we can make sure it doesn’t arrive until you are back.

Why are some products despatched within 10 days?

Our products have varied despatch dates and you can check any despatch times by clicking on the product on our website www.jerseyplantsdirect.com

The only other products that will be despatched within 10 days are from our ‘despatching now’ category-www.jerseyplantsdirect.com/despatching-now

Why aren’t all of my orders despatched at the same time?

We do advertise that all of our plants are despatched individually as and when they have grown to specification in our nursery, so it is perfectly ordinary to receive a staggered delivery.

What is the difference between Plug, garden ready, super and jumbo ready plants?

A full explanation can be found here about our plant types.

The main difference is the size of the plant and root ball. Plugs (100+60’s) are the smallest and will always need to be grown on before planting out in tubs, pots or borders. The Garden ready (50+20’s) can usually be planted straight into tubs, pots and borders but can also be grown on first if preferred. The Super and jumbo (28’s and 12’s) tend to be large plants that can go straight into tubs, pots or borders.

When will Plug Plants be despatched?

Plug Plants will be despatched between late February and the end of April.

When will Garden Ready Plants be despatched?

Garden Ready Plants will be despatched between early March and mid May.

When will Super & Jumbo plants be despatched?

Super & Jumbo plants will be despatched from April through to the end of May.

Can I order by telephone?

Of course! Jersey Plants Direct welcomes all telephone orders. Simply call 01534 871 113.

I want to speak to someone about my questions and queries, how can I get through to the right person?

You can always telephone during usual business hours, 8am to 6pm on weekdays, and 9am to 4pm on weekends with any questions or queries you may have. You will always get to speak to someone, however at busy times or out of hours you may have to email us and we will gladly call you back if you give your name, telephone number and any order details you may have.

Do you sell gift vouchers?

We don’t sell vouchers to give as gifts. Some of our customers may have ‘credit’ with us in the form of vouchers but these are not to be given as gifts to friends or family.

What is a mystery plant?

When you spend £25 or over, you will be offered to purchase a mystery plant for only £2.99. This mystery plant can be anything from our bedding plant range up to the value of £9.99! Unfortunately you will not be able to choose, but we guarantee the mystery plant will be in top condition as with all our plants.

How do I give you feedback?

How do I find bird food and accessories?

Now we’ve updated our website our homepage is a little different. In the corner is a link to our Jersey Choice page where you’ll find collectables, bird food and accessories. Simply click anywhere in the blue box.

How do I check my ongoing orders while I wait?
