Tim’s April Message!

Dear Customers,

Well, spring is here and so is your new copy of Jersey Choice Magazine. Quite a few of you will receiving your first one, so let me point out that Jersey Plants Direct is the Genuine Jersey quality gardening company. Our offices and call centre are on the island. We grow all your plants here in our nurseries and we provide a 28 day replacement or refund guarantee on all delivered products.

Also if you’re now finalising your plans, the Super and Jumbo plants  are great for tubs and baskets and ideal when you’re busy gap filling your displays.

Talking of busy – we ran editorial on Impatiens and Downy Mildew last issue which many found helpful. It’s important to be confident about who you buy from. I’m happy to say we have official confirmation from The States of Jersey Department of the Environment that our nurseries remain 100% clear.

Important Customer Notice

You might have heard that the UK Government has taken action against some big businesses bringing goods into the Channel Islands and despatching to the UK to avoid VAT. Unfortunately as a result, though our plants are nursery grown here and even though the spring season is still running, we must accept an immediate tax increase charge on all our sales and products for payment to the Exchequer – as will every other gardening company despatching from the Channel Islands.

Though we are trying to absorb some of the increase ourselves we have no choice but to reluctantly pass most of this tax on to you our customers in the price. However please be assured you will still find that our products are fantastic value compared to our competitors’ and remain better value than retail.

Finally I must mention our new gift service. Many of you use us at Christmas so we have decided to provide the facility all year round. As you would expect it’s great value, with bouquets and houseplants from just £9.99 – and as with everything else – delivery is absolutely FREE!

Happy giving and gardening.

Yours Faithfully,

Tim Dunningham

Managing Director.
