Some of you may have bought too many plants of one kind this summer and have no idea what to do with them! We have some brilliant planting combinations for you to have a look at below:

We’ve chosen the beautiful Lavender Rosea, it’s a traditional english favourite perfect for borders, containers or as edging for paths and lawns. It’s also widlife friendly so you can expect lots of bees and butterflies in your garden this summer.

Our first planting scheme is inspired by a cottage garden, combine delicate flowers with pastel colours to achieve this look. Combine Lavender Rosea with these beautiful cottage garden flowers -

  • Pinks Claret Joy is an old cottage favourite and perfect for this display. They are hardy, reliable and perfect for cut flowers.
  • Penstemon Vanilla Plum is perfect for giving height to your cottage style border at the end of the summer. It’s tall purple flowers will compliment the pink Lavender Rosea perfectly.

Our next planting scheme focuses on colour co-ordination, the pale pink of the Lavender Rosea will look stunning against some brighter colours -

  • Penstemon Strawberries and Cream is pest and drought resistant – perfect for those of you affected by the hosepipe ban. Its great for both containers and borders and it’s pale pink flowers with red markings will compliment Lavender Rosea nicely.
  • The Garden Scented Pinks Collection is a beautiful scented collection that produces superb flowers year after year. Its flowers range from pale to bright pink, perfect for your pink display.
  • Phlox Bright Eye will add some texture and variety to your pink display. It’s upright pink flowers are backed by rich green foliage. You can enjoy these flowers until the first signs of frost.
